Introduction and Orientation:

Overview of the industrial attachment program
Familiarization with the policies, rules, and regulations of the polytechnic and the host organization.

Introduction to the objectives, expectations, and assessment criteria of the attachment.




Technical Training:

Understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles and concepts.

Hands-on training on various machines, equipment, and tools used in mechanical engineering.

Training on computer-aided design (CAD) software and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) techniques.

Introduction to manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methods.




Professional Practices and Work Ethics:  Developing professional communication skills, both written and oral
Understanding workplace etiquette and professional behavior.

Time management and organizational skills.

Teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.

Health and safety practices in mechanical engineering environments.




Practical Experience:  Exposure to real-world mechanical engineering projects and activities.

Assisting in design, analysis, and prototyping of mechanical systems or components.

Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, or assembly.

Testing and measurement of mechanical parameters.

Assisting in the preparation of project reports, documentation, and technical drawings

Evaluation and Assessment: 

Regular progress reviews and evaluations by the industry supervisor.

Submission of periodic reports, logs, or journals documenting the tasks performed and lessons learned

Final assessment and evaluation by the polytechnic's faculty, including a presentation on the attachment experience
